SSA

SSA is the Shared Signaling Access protocol. It is an antiquated multi-device contention bus protocol with carrier sensing and collision detection, mostly used in aircraft electronics in the early 1980s. It is now largely supplanted by Ethernet, I2C, and IEEE1394.
