Anything we think we know about the purpose of the mentioned Phatbox files can be found here
Notice: all files having a corresponding .sig file are signed! This means they cannot be changed without being rejected by the PB! Changing them might prevent you from booting your PB!
System directories (HDD)
- Data: mountpoint for PHTDATA partition
- TTS: contains all SSA audio files

- RoyalLin.ux: old v1.0 kernel image (red box)
- Welcome to PhatNoise.mp3: startup sound
- WelcomeFileName.txt: startup sound config
- WelcomeFileText.txt: startup sound SSA
- blank.bif: File used to erase the headunit interface CPLD
- blank.sig: signature, see above
- forceupdate: if this file exists (touch) a firmware update (8051 reflash) is forced
- hdparm: HDD config tool, sets DMA mode, queries drive etc.
- hdparm.sig: signature, see above
- linux: linux kernel image
- linux.sig: signature, see above
- phatbox.ini: Phatbox configuration file
- pkeys2.e: Playlist signature's public key
- pkeys2.sig: signature, see above
